Prestigious Award for South West Well-being Partner.
West Cornwall Healthy Living Centre has been awarded a Commendation by the Centre for Local Economic Strategies (CLES).
One of only three CLES Commendations being awarded in 2011, the Penzance based charity has been awarded the Commendation for achieving positive local change, in particular supporting and making places better.
As a partner in the South West Well-being Programme, West Cornwall Healthy Living Centre has delivered since 2008 ‘Pathways to Health & Wellbeing' - a project that empowered and supported 3,300 individuals from deprived communities and families, people with low level mental ill health and people aged over 50.
Dilys Down, who manages the centre, will collect the Commendation at CLES' s Annual Summit in July.
