Well UK targets European Funding
Well UK leads a new Devon partnership bid for EU funds to help people with long-term illness get back into work.
The bid, under the EU's PROGRESS initiative, explores new ways of developing public, private and social enterprise partnerships and requires at least 3 EU countries to participate. Well UK is leading in Devon on behalf of a wider interest group of partners including Devon County Council, Peninsula Training and South West Pound (plus others) and the partnership aims to create and pilot new ways of working that help people build confidence, assess their skills and take steps into work, self-employment or work-based training. The project would complement the review of Incapacity Benefit claimants which is underway.
The trans-national proposal is being coordinated by South Denmark's public authority and the third partner area is the Luxembourg region of Belgium.
